The new Play For 2 MK II is manufactured by
Apco
The Play 42 has been in production for 3 years and gained a
solid reputation as a safe and reliable wing.
Now the Play 42 MK II is
ready and it
retains
the good qualities of its predecessor such as excellent
launch, perfect flare and improve the glider’s handling &
thermalling capacity with wider speed range and lighter
brake pressure.
It uses the same platform and technical data as the Play 42
(retaining existing certification), but has a large number
of improvements, leading to a much better, well-polished
tandem glider. The Play 42 MKII is now a much better
wing for free-flying and perfect for paramotor flying (foot
launched or trike).
It is designed for the professional tandem market as well as
recreational tandem pilots and its design is focused on:
Easy to launch with trim closed or open in any wind
condition (cross wind, back flow, or no wind)
Easy, light force, quick and responsive handling
Great flare
Reassuring safety
Wide speed range (risers equipped with trim tabs -
certified)
Traditional APCO materials, including their famous double
coated siliconised cloth and heavy duty Super Aramid lines,
assuring many years of use (twice as much as any other
tandem glider) – making your investment per hour of flight
much more attractive.

CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS
This glider is made from an excellent tear resistant Ripstop Nylon
fabric, which is P.U. coated to zero porosity and then siliconized
to give a
high resistance to the elements.
Different fabrics are used for the
top, bottom and ribs, due to their different functions.
The lines are
made of Super Aramid covered with a polyester sheath for protection
against UV, wear and abrasion.
The bottom section of the brake lines
is made of polyester because of its better mechanical properties.
The D shackles that attach the lines to the risers are made of
stainless steel.
