Does one need a license to fly?
There is no need of a license to fly a paramotor in USA.
What distance
is needed to take-off and land?
Usually between 10 to 50 feet (3 to
17 meters) for take-off and about 3 feet for spot landing.
What altitude
can one fly?
You can fly at one foot (33 cm.) off the ground and
altitudes over 10,000 feet (300 meters) have been reached, which gives the
pilot a lot of freedom.
What is the
maximum winds one can fly in?
Winds should not exceed 20
km/h.(12-15 mph.)
At what speed
does a paramotor fly?
Approximately 40 km/h (25 mph).

Why is a
paramotor so stable?
The pendulum effect (the pilot being
suspended under the paraglider) gives the auto-stability needed
and makes extremely difficult to stall or spin. Intentional maneuvers
would have to be done to stall or spin a paraglider.
How does
one inflate a paraglider?
A forward movement combined with the
wind, if any, forces air into the frontal cells of the paraglider,
which in turn pressurizes the wing, giving it it's shape.
What happens
if the motor stops?
You slowly glide down with minimum
pilot input. Most landings are done without mechanical power
anyway.
Why a two-stroke
engine?
Because of it's lightness, it's air-cooling
capabilities and it's well known reliability. Maintenance is
very easy and it is economical to operate.
How long
can you fly with a full tank of gas?
Approximately, 2 to 3 hours.
Is it easy
to transport?
Some cages are designed to be taken
apart, into two or four parts in 2 minutes. You can store it
in the trunk of your car. It weighs approximately 45 pounds (20
kilos), permitting easy storage.
